Marathon Man:

Each year the Marathon Man, Jeff (Kolo) Kolodzinski, sets out to break the World Record for "Most Fish Caught in a 24 Hour Period" in order to highlight the ministries of Fishing for Life.  This is such a great event that media outlets from all over the world have covered the event. Check out this YouTube video of a recent attempt: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZRgR_t_3ug

We are pleased to report that the Marathon Man holds the current Guinness Book of World Records for Most Fish Caught in a 24 Hour Period!  He caught 2,691 individual fish to set the record.  Quite a feat considering that if a fish had a prior hook mark in its mouth, it did not count toward the record setting total!

Prior to his attempt to break the record each year, Marathon Man coaches 10 kids to try to help them win the 10K Shootout. This contest has kids fishing against each other to see who can catch the most fish in a one hour time period off the docks at Maynard’s.  The current 10K shootout record is 154 fish!

If you are interested in being one of these kids, or and adult competitor, please contact Tom Goodrich at tom@fishingforlife.org
