May 7 and 8, 10:00 am - 9:00 pm : FISH FAIR - ANOKA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
|
Fish Fair is a fishing carnival for kids and families. Participants of
all ages fish for trout, race minnows, make lures, practice casting
and are educated about all aspects of fishing in our great state.
Activities provide education about habitat awareness, fishing tackle,
techniques, species identification and fishing opportunities with
clubs and camps present at the fair.
This year we will feature the FISH FAIR AUCTION. Follow this link:
Find out how you can consign or donate your boat, rv,
canoe, atv, or other outdoor recreational vehicle to support this
great event.
We will also host the SPORTSMANS'S GARAGE SALE during the fair. We
are currently accepting donations and consignments of sporting equipment
to sell during this event or offering table space to individuals who
may enjoy cleaning out their garage while supporting Fishing For Life.

June 14-18: Great Expectations Ministry Camp #1
|
Great Expectations Ministry Camp #1 will take place at
Luther Dell (Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp).
At GEM camp eight to ten hours of fishing during a day is common and
is combined with team fishing tournaments and friendly competition. Each
GEM camp is small (12-15) which provides for good instruction, supervision,
and relationship building. Daily bible studies and chapel bring each
camper into deeper relationship with Jesus. Boys and girls ages 11-17
are eligible to attend the up north camps. Younger children may attend
if a parent/ mentor attends also. The cost of each camp is $300. Some scholarships
are available based upon need. It is recommended that campers make use
of the Fish-a-Thon program to raise funds for camp.
For registration information please email Dave Lindmark at dave@fishingforlife.org.
